Project Coordinator

Under general direction from the assigned PM or Operations Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the assigned projects. The PC assists in ensuring that assigned projects are properly staffed and coordinated. This involves assisting PM with maintaining work orders, materials, etc. The PC also ensures that the work performed follows state, local, and federal requirements and is conducted with the highest of ethics.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary coordination person for materials, labor, resources to ensure project needs are met on time on assigned projects.
Assist PM as needed to develop project schedules to help plan the assigned projects.
Assist PM with evaluating impact of client issued bulletins, field directives and/or scheduling changes.
Analyze project schedules to proactively address potential problems. Effectively communicates project progress and issues to Project Manager as required.
Support subcontracting process and work orders for labor
Ensure field project document controls compliant with contract requirements and Symphony standards using internal and external software systems as required.
Oversee project construction for compliance.
Assist construction manager and Project Manager with delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned.
Attend job progress meetings if required
Coordinate with the Project Manager, for allocation of resources needed to meet project objectives. Facilitates escalation of product related problems to the PM.
Ensures Billings are processed within contractual guidelines to ensure proper processing
Qualifications:
Management degree or equivalent work-related experience with proven minimum of 3 years of project coordination or administrative experience in the Building Construction Industry.
Understanding of basic contract terms and conditions and enforcement. Management experience with projects related to HVAC Controls, Fire, DAS, AV Systems, Structured Cable, and Security Management Systems is desired.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point, project), Adobe Writer, Visio and Windows environment.
Projects may exist outside of assigned geography and travel via car or airplane.
