Project Manager
Columbus, GA
Construction Project Manager in Omaha, NE for a multi-year, multi-million dollar project. This person will be responsible for the day to day operations of the project, and will work close with the superintendent to ensure a successful delivery. Ability to manage multiple contractors, and understand different scopes of work, finances, and construction processes is a must.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop and publish to the correct audiences comprehensive project plans including budgets, schedules with resource allocation, in collaboration with the superintendent, clients and other stakeholders.
Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient project execution.
Procurement: Source and procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services as needed for project implementation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
Construction Oversight: Work with Superintendent to ensure proper supervision of all aspects of construction activities related to Security, AV, backbone cabling, and other Low Voltage Scopes of Work
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that workmanship meets or exceeds project requirements and industry standards.
Schedule Management: Monitor project schedules closely with Superintendent, and proactively work as a team to identify and address any delays or issues to keep projects on track for timely completion.
Budget Management: Track project expenses and manage budgets effectively to ensure that projects are completed within agreed-upon financial parameters.
Change Management: Track project changes, and work with subcontractors, and in house estimating teams, to finalize proposals for the project.
Client Communication: Serve as one of the primary points of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and liabilities throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and on-site staff, to foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
Document Management: Oversee, and work with the team to store and distribute all documents on the project. Â Examples of some items include project drawings and specs, RFIs, Submittals, meeting minutes, change orders, subcontracts, and insurance information. Â Work with Superintendent and QAQC to track field documentation. Ensure Symphony, and all subcontractors, have current documentation to work on site including COIs, W-9s, personnel qualifications, and other requirements as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in the construction industry.
Experience on delivery of multi-year, $25M+ projects
